Teddy Chipouras is one of those rare thoughtful singer songwriters that manages to lead the listener into profound situations through unapologetic imagery and prose. He is able to seamlessly incorporate unusual turns of phrase that are difficult to reproduce. His songs are simple in nature but complex and building in structure. His songs are catchy but thoughtful
Teddy has performed over 150 gigs up and down the East Coast and has been privileged to be able to play at a number of music festivals including
Off The Record two years in a row. Teddy was honored to progress through a series of auditions that led to a coveted “Blind Audition” for Season 14 (2018) of the Emmy Award winning TV show, The Voice.
Teddy Chipouras is from small town Lovettsville, Virginia and he shares the “Rolling Hills” of his youth with us through imagery-
“the barn that creaks and shakes alone”
“all I know is that I love an open field and that distant mountain range”
His love for history shines through in many songs, most notably in
“The Leaving” where he breathes life into the European characters Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.
His songs speak of timeless wisdom and life lessons that are both personal and genuine-
“come clean to all your faults and promise me to live a life with pride and passion”
“trust your closest enemies, you’ll find that in their mirror lies your face”
-Rusted Silver Dime
His songs speak of hope and healing-
“When it seems there is no truth a rope is handed down to you”
-Prior to Rain
“He knew that she was in there somewhere”
“A fickle heart will grow much more with care and company”
-By the Wayside
Teddy’s all original EP titled “Rollings Hills” was released in 2016 when he was just 18. His newest full length album will be released in the Summer of 2018. Look for it on iTunes, Spotify, Google Music and all other streaming sites.
